Our project focuses on themes of political injustice and gender
inequality. We will attend 2 specific protests that will take place in
London - the first of which fights for freedom for Palestine and the
other, against male violence towards women.
The Freedom-for-Palestine protest, which takes place on 15th February
in Whitehall, London, will be attended by Mark and Claudia. The live
reports will feature the rally against the US Embassy’s decision to
help Israel in their genocidal military action towards Palestine. On
8th March, Sara, Suha and Aiden will attend the annual ‘Million Women
Rise’ protest that takes place throughout Central London on
International Women’s Day. This protest remembers, grieves, and
demands justice for the countless women who have died or suffered from
male violence.
Both the Palestine march and the Women’s Rally are about people coming
together to fight for human rights. Despite focusing on different
causes, both gatherings highlight the power of collective action and
public protest as a tool for change. Our goal is to document a diverse
range of content and opinions from protestors coming from all
backgrounds.
